Learning kannda was something that was there in back of my mind for quite some time but I always had a fear of not being able to do it. Today as I completed my classes I can proudly say that “nannnage swalpa kannda gothu”. A special mention to my teacher for helping me learn the language and being confident in speaking the same. My name is Dr Priyanka Kumar. I am an ENT surgeon . I am a Punjabi born and brought up in the state of Uttarakhand . Although I have had the privilege to learn multiple languages due to my studies such as Marathi, I have had no exposure to any south Indian languages.
As I am getting married to a south Andhra Pradesh person so I had to get versed with the language Telugu .
I found the Mana Vidushi platform for this and got the privilege to learn from Haseena ma’am .
I have to say it really removed the fear of the language from my mind and all classes with her were interactive and oriented with daily discussions.
